CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) Certification
More security for your company
A CCSS certification not only proves the strength of your own technical security measures on crypto systems, but also paves the way for your customers (when using wallets).
CryptoCurrency Security Standard Certification
The CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS), launched by C4 in 2014, has become the gold standard for any platform that manages crypto wallets as part of its business logic.
The CCSS audit focuses on the systems - including hot and cold wallet creation, key generation, secure transfer environment, authorisation workflows and an in-depth audit of the systems that provide cryptocurrency functionality.
Our independent, C4-certified auditor interviews a company's employees and conducts background checks on relevant parties throughout the organisation. Some companies are also asked to outline their policies, procedures and the security of their trusted CCSS environment, which may consist of hot and cold wallets, secure transfer environment and authorisation workflow.

What does the Cryptocurrency Security Standard include?
The CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) is a set of guidelines and best practices for the secure storage and handling of cryptocurrencies. The CCSS is designed to provide a baseline of security for organisations and individuals handling cryptocurrencies. The standard covers topics such as physical security, network security, personnel security and emergency management. It also includes guidelines for risk management, compliance and auditing. The standard is developed and maintained by the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4).
